DESCRIPTION:<p>People living with dementia may exhibit behaviors as a way to communicate their needs and feelings as the disease progresses. Learn from a Community Educator how dementia can change a person’s behavior, possible triggers and person-centered care approaches to address behaviors.</p><p>Currently, more than 719,000 people in California are living with Alzheimer’s disease, and there are over 1.39 million unpaid caregivers. Serving cities and towns all over Northern California, the local chapter of Alzheimer's Association supports anyone facing Alzheimer’s, advocating for the needs and rights of those facing dementia, advancing critical research and working toward methods of treatment, prevention, and ultimately, a cure.</p><p>Connect: <a href="https://www.alz.org/norcal">Alzheimer's Association - Website</a></p>
