DESCRIPTION:<p>Join us for a Saturday afternoon matinee screening of <em>Alimuom</em>, followed by a discussion with Keith Sicat, director and independent filmmaker. One time only event.&nbsp;</p>

<p><img align="left" alt="Film Poster Promotion, Alimuom" height="450" src="https://sfpl.org/admin/events/lib/external/responsive_filemanager/source/AlimuomFilm%20Promo.png" width="300" /><em>Alimuom (Vapours) is&nbsp;</em>a sci-fi thriller set in the futuristic Philippines where farming is banned and sections of the country are under heavily secured bio-domes, beyond which resistance forces continue to defy the militaristic state by growing food crops and herbal medicines.</p>

<p>Sicat has worked on numerous feature films as a director, writer and /or producer. His award winning films include <em>Tigodon</em>, <em>Ka Oryang</em>, <em>The Gorilla is a Poet</em>, <em>Women of the Ruins</em>, and <em>Alimuom</em>. His films range from historical dramas, documentaries, tropical gothic art films to science fiction. He was the script consultant for the first CG-animated Filipino feature film <em>RPG: Metanoia</em> and served as head of development for the first Tagalog language Japanese anime co-production<em> Barangay 143</em>, currently on Netflix. Sicat is also a comic book creator, whose title<em> OFW - Outerspace Filipino Workers</em> was the springboard for the science fiction film <em>Alimuom.</em></p>
