DESCRIPTION:<p>San Francisco Public Library and the San Francisco Unified School District youth&nbsp;librarians&nbsp;team up to talk about Black Joy.&nbsp;Join BIPOC librarians Rachel Fiege (SFPL), Jason Hill (SFPL) and Ayana Thompson (SFUSD),&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;virtual&nbsp;conversation about Black Joy in librarianship, schools, youth literature and beyond.&nbsp;They discuss how&nbsp;Black youth should have access to positive stories about their heritage that aren&rsquo;t rooted in&nbsp;stereotypes or sidekick&nbsp;roles&nbsp;by&nbsp;sharing&nbsp;their personal&nbsp;insights about working with Black youth and how they spread Black Joy to their young patrons,&nbsp;students and families.&nbsp;They share booklists, online resources and their own personal favorites&nbsp;including Coretta Scott King award titles and&nbsp;more.</p>
