DESCRIPTION:<p>SFPL Book Arts & Special Collections and the Bay Area Art Conservation Guild (BAACG) present a lecture on the conservation of artists&rsquo; books by Michelle C. Smith of the SFPL Preservation Department. Michelle will address the conservation challenges presented by artists&rsquo; books and discuss preventive actions, treatment considerations and collaborative approaches. Attendees will be invited to view artists&rsquo; books from SFPL&rsquo;s collections following the talk.</p>
