DESCRIPTION:<p>Take online self-guided tests and&nbsp;learn through interactive tutorials during this in-person proctored&nbsp;session using <strong>Northstar Digital Literacy </strong>which has assessments on subjects like Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, basic computer & internet skills, career search skills and more!</p>

<p>Proctored participants who want to earn a certificate that can be listed on a resume and shared with employers must bring photo identification.</p>

<p><strong>Northstar Digital Literacy</strong><em>&nbsp;</em>is a group of standards-based interactive assessment modules that measure adult digital literacy skills at a basic level.&nbsp;You can <a href="https://www.digitalliteracyassessment.org/launch-from/12815-CG9W-san-francisco-public-library">pre-register at their website</a> and start practicing at any time, a personal email address is required to register. Funding for Northstar Digital Literacy is provided by&nbsp;<a href="https://www.library.ca.gov/services/to-public/career-pathways/"><em>CA</em>reer Pathways</a>, a program of the California State Library.</p>

<p>This program is conducted on a laptop with headphones that we provide, but you are welcome to bring and use your own personal wired headphones.</p>
