The film, The Right to Read, directed by Jennie Mackenzie and produced by <a href="https://rocofilms.com/">Roco Films</a> explores this issue which can have long term negative implications for children struggling in school and can carry throughout their adult lives. &nbsp;Please note that this is a film screening only. &nbsp;</p><p><a href="https://www.therighttoreadfilm.org/"><i>The Right to Read</i></a> film shares the stories of an NAACP activist, a teacher, and two American families who fight to provide our youngest generation with the most foundational indicator of life-long success: the ability to read.</p><p>NR, 71 mins., 2023.
