Senior Move Manager Claudia Kraehe will discuss how to successfully declutter and rightsize your possessions in a practical and meaningful way.  Whether you are staying in place, moving, or closing out an estate, you will get tips on how (and why) to begin, how to make decisions on what and what not to keep, how to handle collections, how to determine the value of what you have, and a simple strategy to gain control of memorabilia.

Ms. Kraehe is the founder of Step By Step Downsizing, a company focused on helping SF seniors with these tasks. The daughter of a librarian and a history professor, Ms. Kraehe believes in preserving what is important personally and/or historically even as one downsizes.  Hence, she embraces the idea that downsizing is really a process of rightsizing.

Ms. Kraehe has knowledge of Numismatics and experience in liquidating coin collections.  She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Oregon and is a certified member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers.

This program is a partnership between the Next Village SF and the Marina Branch Library.

This program is sponsored by Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.
