World-renowned master violin maker and the chairman of the Cao Shukun Cultural Heritage Foundation, Mr. Cao Shukun, along with dozens of musicians from San Francisco Bay Area, presents to the community a concert that combines Chinese and Western musical instruments. 

This concert is a gathering of music lovers who are committed to promoting and developing cultural exchanges between Chinese and Western music. At the concert, Chinese and Western instruments such as cello, viola, violin, double cello, bassoon, xiao (Chinese vertical end-blown flute), di (Chinese transverse flute), guqin (Chinese seven-stringed zither), guzheng (Chinese half-tube zither, harp), pipa ( Chinese pear-shaped lute), erhu (Chinese violin), gaohu (Chinese bowed string), jinghu (Chinese two-string fiddle), yangqin (Chinese hammered dulcimer), zhongruan (long-necked lute), and qinqin (a plucked Chinese lute) will be featured. Come and enjoy an afternoon with the beauty of the music.

There will be a Chinese traditional music instruments exhibition before the concert.

由曹樹堃文化傳承基金會終身榮譽主席、全球著名提琴製作大師曹樹堃先生聯手舊金山灣區數十位中樂、西樂專業和業餘音樂家及音樂人,共同帶來的一場中西樂器激情碰撞混搭融合的音樂盛宴。音樂會是曹樹堃文化傳承基金會樂社實踐自己宗旨的一次嘗試,是一場致力於推動和發展中西音樂文化交流的音樂愛好者的聚會。音樂會上,大提琴、中提琴、小提琴、倍大提琴、巴鬆管、簫、笛、古琴、古箏、琵琶、二胡、高胡、京胡、揚琴、中阮、秦琴等中西樂器將悉數亮相。

音樂會前將有中國傳統樂器展。

此次音樂會由曹樹堃文化傳承基金會和舊金山市總圖書館聯合主辦。

Weaving Stories is the Library's celebration of the many diverse histories and cultures from Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities.

Summer Stride is the Library's annual summer learning, reading and exploration program for all ages and abilities. Read and learn with the Library all summer long.
