Henna artist Renda Dabit will share the history and tradition of henna, give (temporary) henna tattoos and teach participants to create their own henna art. For ages 8–18.

Renda Dabit with Henna Garden Events is a local henna artist since 1995 and has performed for many SWANA celebration with SFPL. She shares the history and culture of henna, also known as Lawsonia inermis. She brings in dried henna leaves, henna powder and fresh henna paste for everyone to see the different stages of this plant, then Renda gets everyone involved with basic skills of hennaing regardless of one’s artistic skills. Participants go home with their own henna cone to practice on themselves in addition to getting a small henna design during the program.
