Strategic Priorities

Strategic Planning

The San Francisco Public Library has established long-term strategic Priority Areas that define the Library’s commitment to serving its diverse communities. Using these priorities, the City Librarian identifies annual goals from which the department’s objectives and activities are developed. The Library’s fiscal year budget is created to support these objectives and annual performance measures are analyzed to assess the Library’s success in fulfilling its goals.
