A Sense of Place, Real and Imagined
The artwork of Caldecott Medal-winning author and illustrator Jerry Pinkney will be exhibited as part of San Francisco Public Library’s 16th Annual Effie Lee Morris lecture. Pinkney, who is also a winner of the Coretta Scott King Award for illustration, is known for his lush, lifelike art that illustrates folk tales from around the world.
Among his books are: The Lion and the Mouse; Goin’ Someplace Special; The Moon Over Star, and Noah’s Ark.
