Reading to dogs can boost reading skills in children as well as help with emotional and social skills. A child that may be hesitant to read aloud to his peers is typically less stressed when reading to a dog and the dog never judges the child’s reading ability. Become a Reader of the Pack and read to our furry friend, Jonny Justice.

Space is limited.  Sign up by calling (415) 557-4388 or stop by The Bridge at Main. Readers of the Pack is brought to you by 4Paws Learning and Wellness Center. The organization’s mission is to ensure and enrich the relationship between people and their pets through education and service.

The Bridge at Main is a literacy and learning center that prioritizes community learning, adult literacy, youth and family literacy and technology literacy to create a learning environment for 21st Century skills.

Inclusive programs have been designed for library users who want to gain a deeper understanding of autism spectrum disorders, sensory integration issues, developmental disabilities, learning differences, or other special needs. Everyone is welcome!
