Personal Digital Archiving/Email

Event detail
Add to my calendar

Like paper letters, your e-mail messages document important events, transactions and relationships. Saving an e-mail involves keeping it separate from your e-mail program. This is because e-mail programs are not meant to keep information for a long time: they can change or stop providing support at any time.

Come and learn the basics of digitally archiving your personal emails as we discuss the difference between file types, how to embed metadata, considerations involved with identifying email sources, and strategies for organizing and backing up your files

SFPL offers free computer and technology classes. Learn anything from computer comfort to coding! Sign up for our monthly e-newsletter and class schedule.
