In 2015, as part of its Stage Coach initiatve-a community-based, participatory theater program aimed at engaging San Franciscans in telling undertold stories and supporting multigenerational audiences in the creation of theater--ACT commissioned playwright Aleshea Harris to adapt a classic play based on the lives and experiences of African Americans living in Bayview/Hunters Point.

Harris created Crack. Rumble. Fly: The Bayview Stories Project, a new play inspired by Sophocles' Oedipus the King. Join us at Imprint City as artists involved in developing and performing the play discuss the creation process and the vital relationship between theater and the community.

Note: This event will be taking place at a location outside the San Francisco network of public libraries. For questions concerning the event, please contact the hosting library: Main Library.
