Join Bay Area author Gary Soto, special guest lecturer for the Main Children's Center's 21st Annual Effie Lee Morris Lecture. Mr. Soto's lecture is entitled Too Much of a Good Thing: The Many Genres of Gary Soto.

Winner of an Academy of American Poets Award and other honors, Gary Soto was born and raised in Fresno. His numerous books of fiction, short stories, and poems for children, teens, and adults include Baseball in April and Other Stories, Taking Sides, and Too Many Tamales. His lecture will address the major themes of his multifaceted body of work.

A book-signing with the author will follow the lecture.
