Following the Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band concert, stay for a special after-show presentation of Drag Queen Story Hour in the Main Children's Center!

Created by Michelle Tea and RADAR Productions in San Francisco, Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.

We will be welcoming Grace who will be reading a few of her favorite titles and including a Spanish reading as well!

Rock! Play! Learn! At the Library, during October! Celebrating the ninth year of the Tricycle Music Fest, the Library welcomes you to join us for the good music and good times! Check sfpl.org/tricycle for the full schedule.
