Ashley Bryan is an American writer and illustrator of children's books. Most of his subjects are from the African American experience.

We invite you to visit our Main Children’s Center Exhibit space to see many of his works we have collected over the years.

We Love Diverse Books is an SFPL program that explores diverse literature. Join us in January for activities that highlight the unique stories of our rich communities such as author talks, cooking classes, cartooning workshops and more.
