The Grateful Dead: Before, During & After the Summer of Love

This talk with photographer and storyteller Rosie McGee features dozens of her intimate photos of the Dead from the 10 year period she lived, worked and traveled with them during their first decade as a band.  In addition, she ties together the band’s history with her photos of the events leading up to and evolving from the summer of 1967 in the Haight Ashbury Summer of Love.

Be part of the happening. Exhibitions, author talks, arts and crafts and more as San Francisco Public Library celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love. See the SFPL Summer of Love Program Guide (PDF)
