Ralph Ginzburg's Loud Decade of Publishing, 1962-1971

A small display at the Herb Caen Magazines and Newspaper Center
Event detail

Between 1962 and 1971, Ralph Ginzburg put out three magazines, Eros, Fact, and Avant Garde- attractive magazines with audacious covers and socially and politically charged content. Ginzburg was sued for obscenity with Eros, and he was sued for defamation while working on Fact.

The Magazines and Newspaper Center has put together a small display of material from the three magazines. It can be found near the reference desk of the center.
