Event detail
Add to my calendar

A BioBlitz is an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period of time. At a BioBlitz, scientists, families, students, teachers, and other community members work together to get an overall count of the plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms that live in a place.

Please bring your smartphone with the iNaturalist app, your curiosity, and your powers of observation to help catalog the natural wonders of our neighborhoods.

This program leaves the Library around 2:30pm. Participants should be prepared to walk as far as ten blocks from the Library.

This program is best for adults and children over 5 with their parents.

This is a Green Stacks event sponsored by the San Francisco Department of the Environment.
