Join us when Kimberly Marshall reads from her father’s memoir Just Another Nigger.  In this book her father, Field Marshal Don Cox, tells his story of his years in the Black Panther Party.  He ran guns to planned armed attacks and raised money at the Manhattan home of Leonard Bernstein.  He also talks about his time in exile in Algeria with Eldridge Cleaver and about his final disillusionment with Huey Newton’s leadership of the Black Panther Party.

A book sale follows the event.

Sponsored by the African American Center.

These cultural events are free and open to the public. See More Than a Month for the complete program guide.
