Someone turning age 65 today has an almost 70% chance of needing some type of long-term care services. The average cost of nursing home care in California is over $100,000 per year, while assisted living can cost over $50,000.  Learn more about what long term care options are available, what Medicare will cover and the legal and financial issues you need to consider in planning for long term care.

A representative from California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform (CANHR) will be presenting this information session. CANHR is a non-profit advocacy organization founded in 1983 whose mission is to improve the choices, care and quality of life for California’s long term care consumers.

This is a Wise Up! program for learning and living well at any age. Activities for seniors and older adults.
