Twenty years ago, the brutal murder of a gay Wyoming college student shocked the nation and ignited federal hate crimes legislation which bears his name.  Also impacted were the lives of three ordinary citizens who tended to Matthew Shepard and his family in extraordinary ways.

Hear their voices reenacted in this deeply moving staged dramatic reading adapted by Out West producer Gregory Hinton from a Wyoming State Archives oral history project for the University of Wyoming Matthew Shepard 20th Anniversary Remembrance.
