Legacy Film Festival on Aging:

Sneak Preview

Add to my calendar

Join us for a sneak preview of this year's Legacy Film Festival with  Sheila Malkind, executive director.  Now in its ninth year, the festival  will screen films about caregiving and caring; memory, love, free-spirits, courage and living fully no matter what age, from Sept. 20-22 at New People Cinema in Japantown.

Films are a powerful way to tell good stories and foster a deeper understanding of the aging experience. The films highlight people facing challenges with creativity, courage, humor, and grace.

Legacy Film Festival's mission is to create fresh views about later life and combat archaic preconceptions about growing older: to educate, entertain, and inspire intergenerational audiences to learn more about the richness and variety of aging.

This is a Films & Videos program from SFPL. From feature films to youth-made videos, we’ve got something great to watch.

This is a Wise Up! program for learning and living well at any age. Activities for seniors and older adults.
