San Francisco Public Library is honored to have selected 15th Annual One City One Book selection, There There by Tommy Orange.

Tommy Orange will be in Conversation with SF Poet Laureate Kim Shuck  - October 16, 6 p.m., Main Library, Koret Auditorium

About the Author

There There was one of The New York Times Book Review’s 10 Best Books of the Year, and won thTommy Orangee PEN/Hemingway Award for Best First Novel, Center for Fiction’s First Novel Prize and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. Orange is a recent graduate from the MFA program at the Institute of American Indian Arts, and is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma. He was born and raised in Oakland, California.

Join the Library's celebration honoring the voices of Indigenous and native peoples for National American Indian Heritage Month.

One City One Book is San Francisco's annual citywide literary event, encouraging our community to read the same book at the same time and then discuss it in book groups and events throughout the City.
