Off the Wall- Gallery Talk: a panel discussion with graphic and poster artists

Moderator- Jesus Barraza

Artists - Juan Fuentes, Calixto Robles, Ali Blum, Alyssa Aviles

Historian - Lincoln Cushing will talk about Bay Area Chicano/Latino poster workshops that preceded and were contemporaneous with Mission Grafica

The Off the Wall Gallery Talk is in connection to the Mission Gráfica Printmaking Studio's Off the Wall Print Sale! Prints from the Mission Gráfica archive ranging from 1973-2019 will be available for purchase. These posters embody the Latinx community’s history, culture, and struggle for self-determination, exploring still-relevant subjects such as oppression, gentrification, displacement, and immigration.

The posters will be for sale in this exhibition, and collectors will be able to buy prints and posters and take them “Off the Wall” at the time of purchase. Join us and own a piece of history from the Mission!
