Visit the bookmobile at the San Francisco Botanical Garden and learn ancient tablet weaving.  Participants will learn to assemble, thread, and operate the portable weaving looms.  Tablet weaving makes beautiful intricate patterns with simple turns.

After the program, participants may visit the San Francisco Botanical Garden to explore various fibrous plants that can be utilized for weaving.

We will meet at the bookmobile parked outside the San Francisco Botanical Garden, 1199 9th Avenue.  We will have pre-assembled looms for quick and fun weaving.

Note: This event will be taking place at a location outside the San Francisco network of public libraries. For questions concerning the event, please contact the hosting library: Bookmobiles / Mobile Outreach.
