The Business, Science & Technology Center does *not* have the following standards:
  • ANSI (American National Standards)
  • ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)
  • ISO (International Standards Organization)

We do not keep a back file of historical standards.

National Fire Codes

Although the Government Information Center of the Main Library has the current as well as the historical San Francisco and California Fire Codes, the Main Library does* not* have the current National Fire Codes set.  For older, historical sets of the National Fire Codes owned by SFPL, please refer to this record:

The current National Fire Codes are available online for viewing at the National Fire Protection Association web site at  Please note that these cannot be downloaded or printed.

The Business, Science & Technology Center of the Main Library does keep current and back issues of the National Electrical Code (also known as NFPA 70)
BST also has the International Fire Code

ASSIST Federal and Military Standards Online
Provides direct access to defense and federal specifications, standards, and related standardization documents cataloged in the DoD master repository. ASSIST-Quick Search does not require an account and password and makes documents available to the public free of charge.

Linda Hall Library
Linda Hall Library is an independent public library of science, engineering and technology located in Kansas City, Missouri.
