From people who love music for people who love music

SFPL's Bay Beats is a brand-new local music streaming service that celebrates and supports the Bay Area music community. Listen to music from more than 100 musicians (and growing) currently performing and creating music in the Bay Area.

Here’s how it works:

Local musicians will have the opportunity to submit a selection of original tracks for inclusion in Bay Beats.

A panel with strong ties to the diverse Bay Area music communities will review submissions and select albums.

If chosen and upon signing a licensing agreement, musicians receive an honorarium payment for their participation.

Anyone looking to delve into the vibrant local music scene can stream music on Bay Beats, while SFPL card holders can download albums.

…And did we mention that this service is all free🙹

Bay Beats has partnered with Amoeba, an independent music store, to make our site a vibrant part of the local music community. In addition to our online presence, we plan to host events and concerts featuring the musicians on the site.

If you have an idea, a suggestion or want to collaborate with us, contact us at team@baybeats.sfpl.org.
