Notice of Meeting - October 21, 2004

A regular meeting of the San Francisco Public Library Commission will be held as follows: Date: October 21, 2004 Time: 4:00 PM Place: Koret Auditorium, Main Library, lower level Notice: It is possible that the usual start time of this meeting may be briefly delayed to permit a quorum of the Commission to assemble. The meeting will be called to order. 1. PUBLIC COMMENT (This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.) 2. CITY LIBRARIAN SEARCH PROCESS - ACTION Presentation on and discussion of an update on the City Librarian search process and possible action to revise the search schedule. 3. COMMENDATORY RESOLUTION - ACTION Presentation and discussion of and possible action to approve a resolution to commend and honor Rich Walsh, recently retired SFPL Director of Operations & Maintenance and former San Francisco Library Commission Secretary, for his years of selfless and exemplary public service leadership and service on behalf of San Francisco’s public libraries. 4. BOND PROGRAM MANAGER’S REPORT - DISCUSSION (This is a discussion item to allow the Branch Library Bond Program Manager to report on recent bond program related activities and make announcements.) This report will consist of an informational presentation: Glen Park Branch Purchase & Sale Agreement update by Donnell Choy; regular reports: program budget, schedule, and construction reports; active projects; and community outreach; and special reports; Sunset & Western Addition Libraries Peer Review response.
