Deeann D. Mathews, prolific author and educator, will be leading a four-week long book club as part of the San Francisco Public Library's African American Interest Committee-sponsored 2013 book fair programs.

The Freedom Guide for Music Creators was written by Ms. Mathews in 2011 and is the go-to guide for musicians and others looking for practical knowledge regarding ways to protect their artistic creations! Participants will get tangible information about copyrights, licensing, royalties, and other need-to-know fundamentals of music business.

Each chapter of the Freedom Guide for Music Creators has the action steps and information musicians need to use immediately to protect their songs and themselves from the perils of the music industry and take control of the many opportunities available to them.
