Vinyl Destination: LP Lathing

10/26/2017
5:00 - 7:00

Main Library

Atrium

100 Larkin St.

Curious how LPs are made and how they work? On Oct. 26, swing by the Main Library from 5- 7 p.m. for a special event with local record producer Michael Carney of Lost Alley Records.

Carney will emboss LPs in real time, giving patrons a step-by-step demo of the magic behind the music, with a soundtrack provided by teen musicians from The Mix.

WAX IN THE STACKS

We're excited to introduce a new collection of wax in the stacks, increasing our vinyl collection by more than 50% and adding thousands of albums for your listening enjoyment. Flip through the newly expanded collection of both contemporary and classics at the Marina, Eureka Valley/Harvey Milk and Park branches and the Main Library AV Center, or order the vinyl online to be picked up at your local branch.

Listen to music made by teens in The Mix.
