Career Online High School

San Francisco Public Library offers a fully accredited online high school diploma and career certification program through Career Online High School (COHS). COHS is available via the internet, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. San Francisco Public Library is offering scholarships to motivated individuals who are SFPL card holders, California residents, and 19 years of age or older.

Application Process

Step 1: Fill out the self-assessment questionaire.

Step 2: Begin the 2 week prerequisite course. (You will be asked to create a free account.) The prequisite course is 15 hours of work, which must be completed within two weeks of starting.

Step 3: Those who successfully complete the prerequisite course will be invited to an informal in-person interview at The Bridge at Main, in the Main Library.

If enrolled in COHS through San Francisco Public Library, students will receive a full scholarship.

Enrolled students should request transcripts from any accredited high school previously attended. Career Online High School will then determine whether any previously completed coursework will apply to COHS credits.
