DESCRIPTION:<p>Learn the basic rhythms of son jarocho and how to play them on traditional instruments. Instruments include panderos (tambourines), quijada (donkey jawbone), tarima (raised wooden platform played as a drum with the feet) and the jarana jarocho (a stringed guitar-like instrument).&nbsp; As a bonus, participants also will learn about fandango!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Reservations required: (415) 355-2810, or sign up at the Bernal Heights Branch reference desk.&nbsp;</p>
