DESCRIPTION:<p>Come explore the rise of Gothic literature in the late 18th century and how Mary Shelley’s <a href="https://sfpl.bibliocommons.com/v2/record/S93C1953635"><i>Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus</i></a>&nbsp;is often used as a prime example of the genre. A brief overview of both genre and novel will be presented followed by questions and answers. Reading Frankenstein is encouraged, but not required.</p><p>The event is in connection with <a href="https://sfpl.org/exhibits/2025/04/01/frankenstein-reimagined-collage-exhibition">Frankenstein Reimagined: A Collage Exhibition</a>, located on the 4th Floor of the SF Main Library.&nbsp;</p>
