SUMMARY:Presentation: Demons and Creatures and Monsters – Oh My!
DESCRIPTION:
Step into a world of wonder and fear as we explore mythical creatures, legendary beasts, and terrifying monsters. From ancient folklore to timeless works of art, these supernatural beings have captured human imagination for centuries. Discover how they continue to inspire awe, embody mystery, and serve as protectors—or threats—in our stories, songs, and culture today.

Presented by John Kouletsis, a docent for the School Programs and Community Speakers Program at the Asian Art Museum. An architect by training, he lived in Japan researching medieval domestic architecture before serving as Kaiser’s national chief architect. He has served on museum committees and on the board of the Society for Asian Art.

Connect with the Asian Art Museum - AAM - Website | AAM - Instagram | AAM - Facebook | AAM - YouTube

Red Demon and Blue Demon with 48 Arhats, 2013 by Takashi Murakami Photo © Asian Art Museum.

Presented by the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco's Community Speakers Program.
