uCreate and Mindful Artistry SF lead a workshop on art and mental health for youth. Special guest speaker, Stephanie Lay, gender affirming therapist, also known as the Zombie Therapist, discusses how art can be a transformative process in therapeutic healing for youth. For ages 12–18.
Stephanie Lay (they/she) is a therapist who works with teens using creativity, art and open conversations to help them feel safe, seen and supported. They have a Masters in Counseling Psychology and Expressive Arts Therapy and have worked in hospitals and mental health programs supporting teens dealing with anxiety, depression, self-harm and tough life situations.
