DESCRIPTION:<p>Explore Downtown and SOMA through the places, histories, and cityscapes that evoke the world of Susanna Kwan’s <a href="https://sfpl.bibliocommons.com/v2/record/S93C6880363"><i>Awake in the Floating City</i></a>. Led by <a href="https://www.shapingsf.org/">Shaping San Francisco</a>, this walking tour moves from high rises and Chinatown streets to rooftop outlooks, memorials, and other elevated sites, inviting participants to imagine San Francisco across time.</p><p>The tour is just under two miles and includes a couple of steep slopes and a staircase. Rain or shine.</p><p><strong>Starting Point:</strong> Transamerica Redwood Park at the Transamerica Pyramid. Enter from Sansome, Washington, or Clay Street.</p><p>Space limited. Reservations required. (starting October 25).</p>
