<p><a href="https://sfpl.bibliocommons.com/v2/search?custom_edit=false&query=contributor%3A%28eisen-martin%2C+tongo%29&searchType=bl&suppress=true">Tongo Eisen-Martin</a>, San Francisco&rsquo;s current, eighth Poet Laureate, and <a href="https://sfpl.bibliocommons.com/v2/search?custom_edit=false&query=contributor%3A%28shuck%2C+Kim%29&searchType=bl&suppress=true">Kim Shuck</a>, the city&rsquo;s seventh Poet Laureate, co-curate this evening&rsquo;s special edition of SFPL&rsquo;s monthly poetry event. <p><strong>Tongo Eisen-Martin</strong> is San Francisco&rsquo;s Poet Laureate. He is the author of<a href="https://sfpl.bibliocommons.com/item/show/3423920093"> <em>Heaven Is All Goodbyes</em></a>, which was shortlisted for the Griffin International Poetry Prize, received the California Book Award for Poetry, an American Book Award, and a PEN Oakland Book Award. He is also the author of<a href="https://sfpl.bibliocommons.com/item/show/3121893093"> <em>someone's dead already</em></a> and the forthcoming <em>Blood on the Fog</em>.</p>

<p><strong>Kim Shuck</strong> is a San Francisco poet laureate emerita. She gets up to all manner of poetic mischief.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p><strong>James Cagney</strong> is the author of the poetry collection,<a href="https://sfpl.bibliocommons.com/item/show/3897662093"> <em>Black Steel Magnolias in the Hour of Chaos Theory</em></a>, winner of the PEN Oakland Josephine Miles award in 2019. <em>Black Steel Magnolias</em> is available now from <a href="https://www.nomadicpress.org/">NomadicPress.org</a>.</p>

<p><strong>Lourdes Figueroa&nbsp;</strong>is an oral poet.&nbsp;Her poems are a constant dialogue of her lived experience when her family worked in el azad&oacute;n in Yolo County.&nbsp;</p>
