DESCRIPTION:<p>Rob Saunders, founder of Letterform Archive, speaks about his journey as a designer, teacher&nbsp;and publisher, collecting&nbsp;graphic design and letterforms for over forty years. Letterform Archive of San Francisco was founded&nbsp;as a place to share Rob's&nbsp;private collection with the public, opening&nbsp;to visitors in February 2015.&nbsp;The Archive offers hands-on access to a curated collection of over 1000,000 items related to lettering, typography, calligraphy, and graphic design, spanning thousands of years of history.</p>

<p>This lecture is part of the&nbsp;Annual General Meeting of the Friends of Calligraphy, sponsored by Book Arts & Special Collections.&nbsp;</p>
