<p>When the local mosque is burned to the ground in an apparent hate crime, the town of Victoria must overcome its age-old political, racial, and economic divides to find a collective way forward.</p>

<p><strong>Presentation: Islamophobia and Its Impacts&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p>Following the screening, speaker <a href="https://ing.org/about/team/staff/maha-elgenaidi-founder-and-executive-director/">Maha Elgenaidi</a>&nbsp;from ING will define and examine Islamophobia and the many ways it is disseminated, including through the media, politicians, the internet and social media. We will look at the impact of Islamophobia on Muslims in schools, the workplace and other institutions and discuss strategies for countering Islamophobia through education and interfaith engagement.</p>
