SUMMARY:Workshop: Holiday Chutneys
DESCRIPTION:<p>Author of <em>Cooking Together: A Vegetarian Co-op Cookbook</em> Shanta&nbsp;Nimbark Sacharoff will read from her cookbook and talk about why we share&nbsp;food and food preparation to build community. She will include&nbsp;ideas for kids, working adults and seniors&nbsp;to engage together in the kitchen.</p>

<p>Condiments being important elements in the cuisine of India, Shanta will demonstrate&nbsp;how to prepare two types of chutneys. She will explain what culinary herbs and spices go into the chutneys and how they enhance&nbsp;flavors. Recipes for the chutneys will be distributed. Chutneys make delicious holiday gifts.</p>

<p>Shanta will conclude with a Q&A session while participants sample the chutneys with crackers and sip homemade chai.</p>
