Local photographer and retired social worker, Judi Iranyi, photographed the Tenderloin community during the years 2014 – 2016. Iranyi wanted to share the “real” Tenderloin, home to San Francisco's most integrated and diverse population and with the highest percentage of children. Iranyi documents activities in public spaces, including Tenderloin National Forest, Father Alfred E Boeddeker Park, Tenderloin Rec Center, TNDC Tenderloin People’s Garden and Sunday Streets as well as activities and events of nonprofit organizations La Voz Latina and Safe passage.
