DESCRIPTION:<p>A new and original electrifying work that honors the life and words of Dr. Maya Angelou.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Set to original compositions by DeVant&eacute;&nbsp; Winn who was inspired by the sounds heard throughout Dr. Angelou's life, a small cast consisting of all Black women brings Maya Angelou&rsquo;s poetic styling to life. Written by Leelee Jackson and directed by Devin A. Cunningham, <em>From One to Another</em> aims to reflect the lasting impact of her inspiring words and empowering voice through poetry, dance&nbsp;and music.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Presented by the <a href="https://www.african-americanshakes.org"><u>San Francisco African American Shakespeare Company</u></a> in commemoration of the new monument to Dr. Angelou, which will be unveiled at the Main Library in September.</p>
