DESCRIPTION:<p>We'll be pausing Julie Dash's lush migration drama, <i>Daughters of the Dust</i>, to draw striking frames. The poetic frames will spark your visual imagination.</p><p>Basic drawing materials (pencils, paper, erasers) will be provided. You may bring your own materials, but please no fume-creating paint or paint pens. Watercolor, ink and gouache are fine.</p><p>This is a self-led event; there will be no instruction or feedback. However, there will be an opportunity at the end of the session to look at others' drawings and show your own.&nbsp;</p><p>PG, 113 mins., 1991. Subtitles and Closed Captions (CC) in English. Due to pauses for drawing, the full film will not be shown.</p>
