The Community Youth Center (CYC) of San Francisco will present a one hour course on how to protect yourself and intervene safely as a bystander.

The Coalition for Community Safety and Justice Program will introduce the training with the following objectives:

1. Avoid becoming victims on the street and public transportation

2. Protect yourself in threatening situations (De-escalation skills)

3. Intervene effectively as a bystander without compromising your safety

At the end of the training, participants will receive a free gift, including a fanny pack, a whistle, a flashlight, an alarm key, and emergency card.
