Learn: Tax Clinic - Economic Impact Payments & 2019 Taxes

A workshop providing information about the 2020 Economic Impact Payments, including common reasons you may not have received yours yet and what steps you can take to receive yours. Amy Spivey of the UC Hastings Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic will provide an update regarding the 2019 tax filing deadlines with the IRS and Franchise Tax Board and why you may not have received your 2019 tax refund yet. Q&A will follow. 

Amy Spivey is a Visiting Assistant Professor and Director of the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic at UC Hastings Law. Through the UC Hastings Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, Professor Spivey and her students provide free legal representation to low-income taxpayers who have a controversy with the IRS, including help with tax audits, appeals, resolving issues with unpaid taxes and U.S. Tax Court litigation. Professor Spivey is a frequent speaker on tax issues for low-income taxpayers.
