Wednesday, 12/1/2021
1:00 - 2:30

Learn to code with help from an experienced instructor. HTML and CSS are key tools for building the structure and style of a webpage. In this 4-part series, learn how HTML and CSS work and get hands-on practice creating your own code. Sessions take place Nov. 3, 10, 17 and Dec 1, from 1-2:30 p.m. Attendance at all sessions is recommended but not required.

Instructor Melody Serra's passion is teaching and empowering others by sharing what she has learned. She teaches software engineering and software testing at a nonprofit called Year Up. Serra is also active in her community and started a JavaScript class at the Boys and Girls Club of Visitacion Valley, helped launch an arts and crafts program at a children's hospital and also taught at San Quentin State Prison. She hopes to inspire youth to explore and expand their creativity through web development, writing and art.
