Acclaimed theater director Kayla Minton Kaufman and talented local actors perform a dramatic reading of Straight Nonsense, a brand new play by playwright Lindsay Ford. January’s production of Straight Nonsense marks the happy return of director Kaufman’s Fresh Sunday Play Reading Series, a bimonthly series that presents dramatic readings of original works. Kayla Minton Kaufman has worked in institutions across the nation, from American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco to Portland Stage in Maine. She loves “work that celebrates diversity, provokes discussion and makes audiences laugh or cry (or just remember how to be human)."

Lindsay Ford is a lesbian Bay Area actress and playwright with an express interest in making the mundane extraordinary. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary’s College in Performing Arts with Theatre and Music emphases.
