Teen Intern Sally participated in the Youth Engaged in Library Leadership (YELL) 2021 summer internship program as a member of the STEM & Nature Cohort. The STEM & Nature cohort used STEM to explore different aspects of the urban nature spaces in their community and connected them to topics like sustainability, community gardens and nature walks. She is passionate about educating her community about the importance of mental health and hope to de-stigmatize the subject so everyone can seek adequate care.
